Start of the FIS Alpine World Cup speed season

The FIS Alpine World Cup speed season started as usual with the races in North Amerika in the last week of November and the first week of December. Apart from earlier seasons, the results were not dominated by the Attacking Vikings from Norway. But there are results promising for the developement of the seasaon.  The winners of Downhill and Super-G are well known as winners, Dressen (GER), Mayer (AUT), Feuz (SUI), but also a first time winner in Super-G, Marco Odermatt (SUI). Aleksander Aamodt Kilde got his first podium in the season with second place in Super-G in Beaver Creek, and Adrian Sejested Smiseth has several impressive results with fifth and eighth place in Beaver Creek. Kjetil Jansrud can also see primising racing with improvement in Downhill compared to the beginning of last season.
