Kvitfjell
Kvitfjell was built for the 1994 Olympic Winter Games, but has already gained an outstanding reputation among alpine enthusiasts around the world. The unique Kvitfjell courses were designed (Bernhard Russi) and built to combine challenges and safety as the guiding principles.
The Men’s Downhill/ Super-G courses are equipped with snowmaking installations (automatic).
The Men’s Downhill course in Kvitfjell fulfils the standards for a high levelled modern WC course and has undergone improvements each season after the OWG (94) to maintain the latest specifications.
Chairlift to the middle station, 4-seat detachable with a capacity of 1600 skiers/h.
Chairlift from the middle station to the downhill start, 6-seat detachable with a capacity of 2000 skiers/h.
Sunday March 3rd 2019 Kvitfjell organized World Cup race number 64, 26 years after the first World Cup race in 1993!
