Bormio offered as usual ice, steep slopes and more than one thousand meters of altitude difference. Dominik Paris (ITA), who has not showed too good results so far this season, was again the king and won the downhill in front of Marco Odermatt (SUI), first time downhill podium, and Niels Hintermann (SUI) third. Aleksander Aamodt Kilde was in the lead ahead of the Austrian favourites Vincent Kriechmayr and Matthias Mayer finishing with bib number 7, yet ending number nine.
