Finales in Courchevel with Norwegian top results
It came to be two brilliant days during the finals in Courchevel for the Norwegian speed skiers, with Aleksander Aamodt Kilde taking the Crystal Globe in Downhill and in Super-G, and Ragnhild Mowinckel with her first victory in Super-G.
Ragnhild Mowinckel took her first victory in Super-G, and Norway's first in Super-G women since Ingeborg Helene Marken in the final in Kvitfjell in 1996. Mikaela Shiffrin (USA) secured the victory in the total World Cup with her second place in Super-G after winning the Downhill the day before, while Michelle Gisin (SUI) was third. Federica Brignone (ITA) had allready won the Globe in Super-G this season.
Aleksander Aamodt Kilde had allready in Kvitfjell March 6th won the Globe in Super-G for this season and came in fourth in today's race. The race was, like yesterday's Downhill won by Vincent Kriechmayr (AUT) ahead of Marco Odermatt (SUI). The battle for the Crystal Globe in Downhill yesterday became very exciting and ended with Aleksander Aamodt Kilde winning with 13 points (620 against 607) ahead of the last four year's winner, Beat Feuz (SUI). Marco Odermatt has allready won the total cup.
