Slope Crew
The Slope srew is responsible for the actual racecourse. They work closely with the course setters and the chief of course to ensure the course is in perfect condition before, during, and after the races. This requires excellent skiing skills to handle course setting, maintenance, and safety.
Tasks:
- Assisting the course setter at agreed times, including procuring and placing necessary equipment for course setting.
- Sliding the course before, during, and after training and competition to keep the course in optimal condition.
- Replacing gate poles and repairing gates as needed during the competition.
- Assisting with the setup and teardown of safety nets along the course.
- Maintaining the course in cooperation with the chief of course, ensuring everything functions as it should during the event.
- Transporting and placing gates and other equipment in the course before and after the races.
- Participating as course sliders to ensure the course remains in good condition between races.
- Race Crew: Acting as a quick-response team for rapid repairs of safety nets, gates, and other equipment during the race.
