A busy winter ahead

12. oktober 2023

This coming winter is going to be a busy one for us as organizer. For the first time in Norwegian ski history will both the women’s and men’s tour visit us the same year. In addition will we host the European Cup final in Hafjell and Kvitfjell mid-March. And we will continue to develop Summit Kvitfjell, and our goal is to become our region’s largest business conference.

We are well under way with planning for this upcoming winter, and a few weeks back we attended the FIS Fall meetings in Zürich where we met up with both race directors, Markus Waldner and Peter Gerdol and their staff to go through plans for this coming World Cups.

In Zurich we received much positive feedback on our work and races. The development we have made and the steps we have taken to not only deliver good races with fair conditions for all racers, but also the work we do on side events as Summit Kvitfjell. We are now a popular organizer, and both the women’s and men’s tour want to compete in Kvitfjell. We are proud of the work we have done in the past 30 years, and our goal is to be an organizer and event everyone wants to be a part of, from FIS, the teams, partners and sponsors, volunteers and spectators.

To be able to deliver good and fair races and interesting side events we need volunteers. So if you are interested in join our crew, please read more about different opportunities here.

Winter is coming, and we look forward to meet you all in Kvitfjell and Hafjell in February and March.
