Summit Kvitfjell - The Business Week on Snow is continually improving and becoming more attractive for the business community. The ambition is to develop the best meeting place for businesses throughout Innlandet within two years. New this year is that we are merging the Snowball and Russispranget conferences into one large joint conference.
Together with our strong partners - NHO Reiseliv, Innovasjon Norge, Innlandet Fylkeskommune, DNB, and KPMG - we are launching Summit Kvitfjell - The National Winter Conference in 2024.
The target audience is specifically the tourism sector on day one, and day two is for the entire business community. Our conference is now one of three national tourism conferences, something we are incredibly proud of. This gives us strong motivation to further develop our conference and create additional value-added experiences in the snow.
While Techpoint Travel focuses on technology trends and the Norwegian Experience Conference on innovative experiences, The National Winter Conference focuses on sustainable destination development and performance culture.
"Sustainable destination development is a long-term process involving many actors, and the interaction between them is imperative for success. This conference will shed light on current issues closely related to points in the Destination Committee's report NOU 2023:10, 'Live and Experience - Destinations for a Sustainable Future,' and, not least, highlight inspiring and engaging cases from which our participants can learn."
- Dagny Øren, Industry Manager, NHO Reiseliv
Our two-day conference will offer inspiration and experiences full of energy and joy. This is a unique meeting place close to the FIS Ski World Cup Kvitfjell, which aims to help participants turn networks into business opportunities in a snowy setting. Here, you meet industry colleagues from across the country, and we believe that bringing together actors from various industries adds greater value for our participants.
"This year we had about 600 participants at the Snowball and Russispranget conferences; in 2024, we hope even more will attend, with ambitions for 1000 participants. We already see increased engagement from partners and local and national businesses for our 2024 event."
- Merethe Sandum, Tourism Manager, Visit Lillehammer
We look forward to presenting the program for 2024 soon. The program committee is working with great enthusiasm, both in specifying this year's theme and booking exciting speakers.
We welcome everyone in the travel and business sectors, locally and nationally, to join us on February 29 and March 1 for a unique conference experience at Summit Kvitfjell - The National Winter Conference.
