Surprising winners in the Downhill Friday
Cameron Alexander oand Niels Hintermann shared the victory
In excellent conditions throughout the whole race Cameron Alexander (CAN) from start number 39 raced in to equal time as the leader Niels Hintermann (SUI). It is quite rare that a racer ranked 39 wins a Downhill race in the World Cup. Cameron Alexander had however three top positions in speed races in the Europacup in Kvitfjell three weeks ago. Niels Hintermann is ranked top ten, but has few wins.
Matthias Mayer (AUT) was "as usual" on the podium with third position. Beat Feuz (SUI) and Aleksander Aamodt Kilde (NOR) were 7/100 and 8/100 seconds from the podium.
