The Blue Team is responsible for ensuring the racecourse is clearly marked with dye, following instructions from the jury and race management. This work is critical for visibility in all weather and light conditions and requires skilled skiers in good physical condition.
Tasks:
- Preparing equipment before races.
- Mixing dye in the main tank and ensuring correct consistency.
- Transporting cans of dye to stations along the course.
- Marking the course with blue dye, including timing points and the finish line.
- Being on standby for touch-ups during the race, stationed at agreed locations.
- Cleaning and maintaining all equipment after use.
